8th Annual Lady’s Slipper Festival - May 23-24,

The
Huron
County
Nature
Center is
holding its 8th Annual Lady’s Slipper Festival on May 23rd and
24th. I would like
to take this opportunity to invite you to apply to this year’s
festival. Last year we
continued to build upon our 6 years of success. We intend our show to become a
prestigious annual fine art and selected craft “Wildlife Art
Festival”. There is no entry
fee to Artists, however there is a commission of 10% of sales due at the
end of the show. The maximum commission collected will be $25.00. There
will be no charge to the public. We urge you to apply early, as there will
be a limited number of artists and select crafters admitted into this
event. The jury process will again be on a first come-first serve basis.
Each applicant will be juried individually. Please supply two photographs
of your work, unless you were in the show last year.

APPLYING TO OUR SHOW:
Please include a
self-addressed-stamped-envelope (SASE) for the return of your photographs.
Set up time will be from 8:00
to 9:30 Saturday
Morning.
Hours of Lady Slipper Festival: Saturday
10am - 5 p.m. and Sunday 12 noon
- 5 p.m.
Driving in the nature center is limited, so please bring
carts to assist in transporting your work.
If you are using a tent or
cover, please advise of the size so we may find a space to accommodate
you.
The
Nature
Center is
located 9 miles East of Caseville or 9 miles West of Port
Austin just
off of M-25, turn South on
Oak
Beach Rd. to
Loosemore
Rd. East to
the Nature
Center
entrance. 14 miles Northwest of Bad Axe.

will do everything in our power to provide this weekend festival a success
for all! Advertising will be done to help ensure that the buying public is
aware of our show.
The promoters,
Nature
Center,
Huron
County, or any of its agents
will not be responsible for accidents or losses of any nature. Overnight
security will be available, but leaving your work up through the night is
at your own risk.
